Les and Eva AignerThe program will observe the 73nd anniversary of Kristallnacht, which occurred on Nov. 9 and 10, 1938. Kristallnacht was the first mass assault by the Nazis on many Jewish people. Nazi forces victimized thousands of German and Austrian Jewish citizens, sending many to concentration camps.
Many historians believe Kristallnacht was the first major event signaling the impending Holocaust. At the time, the events of Kristallnacht were viewed as unprecedented by other nations.
